What is Natural Language Processing?

An ability to detect human speech is a branch of artificial intelligence that helps computers understand, interpret, and generate utterances in human language.
This technology takes root from the early 1950s, and now it's used almost everywhere. For example, Siri, Alexa, and other voice bots or chatbots are based on this technology, so that you're most likely to have interacted with this.

How does NLP work?

  • Intents help a computer to understand what a user needs and predict their behavior.
  • Entities help to recognize the main spots in a human's speech, such as dates, names, etc.
  • Sentiment allows a computer to recognize emotions and intonation of what a human says.
